Greetings from Palringo Palringo looks ahead to an exciting 2011! Available on:
New improved Palringo Mac client The Mac client has started to get the love and attention it deserves, and our new Beta version is available for free from our download page - and soon from the Mac App Store. The client has been completely rebuilt and now incorporates the best elements of our various mobile apps. New to the client is a messages tab, which has proved popular on the iPhone as it makes it easier to keep track of your on-going discussions. The rewrite has also improved reliability and responsiveness, providing us with a solid foundation for further evolution including themes, profiles and a search facilities.
Palringo Enterprise Palringo isn't just about keeping in touch with friends and family - we know from your feedback that many of you use Palringo as part of your business activities too. To accommodate corporate needs, we now also provide dedicated Enterprise services, and we currently support clients ranging from small, regional companies to major international firms. Service & System Updates Some of you may have noticed that the stability of our service fell below our usual standards recently. In response to continued strong growth, we have been implementing a number of enhancements and have transitioned to new facilities. We realise that many of you have been disappointed about the disruption, but we have largely addressed the major issues and we are now in a much better position to support continued growth. Our team is expanding and we've been busy developing new things that our users have been asking for. 2011 is going to be a particularly exciting time in terms of new features, new ways to find new groups and meet new people.
New ways to get support We consider ourselves fortunate to have such a vocal and vibrant community, and to help new users get going, we have migrated some of the forums from our palringo.com to a new dedicated support site. This new site can be accessed at http://support.palringo.com - you can use it with your Palringo account details. We are also on the look out for helpful members of the community to help answer questions.
Platform Updates Symbian - The usual stability improvements and now Users can view or edit their Extended Profile. We have also improved our Facebook service support. Java - Lots of usability and stability improvements Windows - The client now supports Growl, which lets you receive configurable notifications when your friends sign on, or send you a message. Android - Getting better all the time and if you haven't tried it lately, you might want to give it another look. We're currently working on a major update that will roll out soon.
